Exactly 8 years ago we had to say goodbye to one of the most beloved shows of all time. For me, Friends was a coming-of-age story and watching these 6 people interact with each other for 10 years provided us with some of the funniest, sweetest and maybe even saddest moments television has had to offer. God bless Chandler, Joey, Monica, Phoebe, Rachel and Ross.
And God bless Friends.

Speaking of favorite tv show ↑
My favorite character is Chandler Bing, probably because he always gives comments that are logical and funny at the same time, plus he’s cute when he was young. ;p
Oh, I cannot forget the episode when Chandler brought a laptop with 12 megabytes of RAM, 500-megabyte hard drive, built-in spreadsheet capabilities and a modem that transmits at over 28,000 BPS. Consider it’s aired on 1995 and those specifications sounded so wow at that time. I mean, 12 MB of RAM??!
Not to mention that Joey looks like one of my cousin, one of Monica’s ex-boyfriend: Pete Burke - who invented Moss 865 and once featured on magazine hugging the Bill Gates - looks so much alike my lecturer. Also, one of the nurse on the episode when Pheobe gave birth is Principal Figgins, the head of William McKinley High School at Glee.
*brb, continue watching the season 5*

3 times LOL

Watching FRIENDS from the very first season 1 last weekend apparently isn’t a bad idea at all. This serial is crazily hilarious! Made me laugh all day and successfully repaired my mood. I’m on season 3 now, in only 2 days! Yup, am crazily in love with this tv show.

So, earlier today I started to watch “While Collar” and I can’t help to stop watching it until now. My God, it’s so damn cool!!! SO DAMN GREAT!!!

Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer), a con man, forger and thief, is captured after a three-year game of cat and mouse with the FBI. With only months left while serving a four-year sentence, he escapes from a maximum security federal prison to find Kate, his ex-girlfriend.
Special Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), the FBI agent who initially captured Caffrey, finds him and returns Caffrey to prison. This time, Caffrey gives Burke information about evidence in another case; however, this information comes with a price: Burke must have a meeting with Caffrey. At this meeting, Caffrey proposes a deal: he will help Burke catch other criminals as part of a work-release program.
Burke agrees, after some hesitation. Through the successful apprehending of several white collar criminals, Caffrey has proven to Burke that he will help him, and that he will not try to escape again. This begins an unconventional but successful partnership.

Great script, great casts (especially the so-handsome-charming-heart-melting guy, Matt Bomer), and eventhough it’s about crime, you won’t see much blood, dead bodies, gun shots, or killing scences here. It’s all about the crime solving thing that contains of great analysis, supported by interesting plot. *brb, continue watching*

How Harry Potter Should Have Ended

Hmm… If Snape used Hermione’s Time Turner to go back from the very first time Dumbledore met Tom Riddle, then the whole story would’ve changed.

Modern Family

One big (straight, gay, multi-cultural, traditional) happy family”

2 weeks ago, a friend of mine gave me this serial when she came over to my place - after more than a year we haven’t met - and here I am, about to finish watching the entire season 1 and half of season 2. The serial successfully makes my homesick feeling even bigger which I don’t know whether good or not for my psychological health since the last time I came home is just about 1.5 month ago, for God sake! Hahah. But really, highly recommended! IMDb rates it 8.8 out of 10, even Barack Obama said that it’s his favorite tv serial to watch with his family. (like, seriously? :p)

Watched “The Black Swan” this afternoon. Too late? Don’t care. I’m really not a kind of person who think that it’s necessary to keep up-to-date with all of the movies in the theater. In fact, I like to wait until it’s available at the downloading sites so I can watch it for free. Am I the only one here? :p

Anyhow, since its genre is psychological thriller and really is not my kinda favorite genre, the 1 hour 40 minutes duration was felt so long! and I kept questioning what’s wrong with Nina’s thought? Not to mention it made my eyes opened that being a ballerina is definitely not easy; with the super light and flexible body, the hard practices, and the pressure to be perfect in every performance… I wonder how much Natalie Portman was payed for this movie.

Weekend movies: Mean Girls (2004) and Mean Girls 2 (2011).

Both have the same story-line as general. Started with unpopular newly-moved girl, makes friends with the local students, then got a problem with the ‘plastic’ girls, everybody hates her, then at the end, she becomes a hero and everyody loves her back. Classic. I like ‘Mean Girls 1’ more, though. :D

Freedom Writers, a movie that was recommended by my “Organization Behaviour” lecturer back then in college. We even watched half of the movie in class. :D
The story-line of the movie takes place between 1992-1995 racial Riots. It’s generally about Erin Gruwell, the teacher who struggles to fight the racism issue among students, makes them willing to study and realizing the importance of education. She even had to take double-jobs to buy her students books because the school doesn’t provide it or even think it’s necessary for the kids to read books. (like seriously?)
Personal notes while I watched it:
Why are all the casts looked too old for being high school students? Even looked too old for being collegers, LOL!
I’m so blessed to be born and live in Indonesia that doesn’t have such a serious racism issue like that. Thank God!
It’s such a very recommended movie especially for those who interested in education. Oh btw, the quote on the picture above is my favorite line. :)

The Vow

Have watched the trailer since June last year, been curious ever since, and finally watched it last night. Sweet sweet movie! Oh, Channing Tatum… (´⌣`ʃƪ)

Paige: I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Leo: I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love.

“There is a lesson you will learn: sometimes you must go back a turn.”  Jumanji (1995)

Jumanji!!! Oh, this childhood movie that somehow always reminds me of my English course class since we watched it together in the class back then and my teacher were using this movie as our listening practice.

We had to watch this movie without any subtitle, and… just so you know, for an intermediate level student, it was so hard! Hard to catch what on earth they were talking! Luckily we could retold the general story with our own words. But it’s indeed a fun way to study English. :D
